The Mid Hudson Bicycle Club will be celebrating our 60th year of cycling in 2026 and our club has lots of great events being planned throughout the year to celebrate this important milestone. First up is a special edition 60th anniversary bike jersey at a special introductory price! This will be followed up by a great mid-winter 60th anniversary dinner on March 11, 2026:
To kick off the celebration, the MHBC is offering a special edition 60th Anniversary Bicycle Jersey at a special anniversary price of just $60… to match the 60 years the club has been around building the cycling community in the Mid Hudson Valley! This is a limited run of specially designed jerseys at a very special price to all MHBC members and friends. You have until January 15, 2026 to order at this introductory price, after this date, there will be a significant price increase. Come Join Us to Kick Off Our 60th Anniversary Year!
We are thrilled to invite you to our annual Winter Dinner Social, which this year marks the official start of our 60th Anniversary celebration! This is the perfect opportunity to take a mid-winter break, catch up with fellow members—both new faces and longtime friends—and share our excitement for the season ahead. Please join us for an evening of connection and camaraderie. Every attendee will receive a commemorative 60th Anniversary gift, and we will be awarding door prize drawings throughout the evening. We look forward to seeing you.
The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a Social Hour (cash bar available). This is your chance to catch up, share ride stories, and discuss ideas for the upcoming season. Next, our club president, Jeff Saffir will share his opening remarks. Following dinner, we are honored to welcome our distinguished guest speaker, Anne Savage, Executive Director of the New York Bicycling Coalition.
Anne will share a powerful look at how 2026 is shaping up for cyclists across New York State. With e-bike use skyrocketing, active transportation reshaping how people move, and critical policies in play at local, state, and federal levels, this is truly a pivotal moment for cycling advocacy. Join us to learn how key initiatives are driving change, and how bike clubs like ours can best advocate for safer, better cycling for all.
