Fall Round Up

Sat, Nov 1 @ 9:30 am in Wallkill

Please join us for our Fall Round Up event to ride, eat and vote for next years club officers. There will be three ride levels: A/B 39-miles, C+ 32-miles, and C 24-miles. Please plan on arriving by 9:30 am. Rides will leave promptly at 10 am. Lunch is at 1 pm followed by the election of club board members. A catered lunch will be provided however we would appreciate it if folks could bring a salad or dessert to share. If you wish to attend but not ride please join us for lunch. The C rider focus group will meet after the elections. Print your own cue sheet or download the route to your device. Sign up on the club Team Up mobile app or at the MHBC web calendar.

Rain moves the event to the Wallkill Ambulance Building on Sunday, Nov 2 starting at the same time. Since the starting location is different on Sunday, please make sure to add the route for Sunday to your device.

Be our guest if this is your first ride with the club. Membership is needed for subsequent rides.

C Rider Focus Group Meeting

We need you!

In our survey done earlier this year respondents indicated that more C rides were wanted. We have a couple of new C ride leaders that are looking forward to next season and plan on leading more C rides. But…. we need to have a better idea of what C riders are looking for in terms of starting locations, ride distance, etc.

We would like to have a general discussion with those C riders who attend the Fall Round Up so our leaders can formulate ideas for next season. So, if you can spare some time after the lunch and elections it would be greatly appreciated.

Pactimo Club Apparel Store Open Oct 21 - Nov 4

Autumn is here and the planned opening for the MHBC Pactimo store is Tuesday, October 21. It will be open for two weeks and will close on Tuesday, November 4.

All the usual club merchandise—jerseys, shorts & bib shorts, arm warmers, leg warmers, hats, and more will be available in all of the club colors—black, orange, pink, and bright yellow.

The Pactimo Store link is https://teamstore.pactimo.com/stores/selec. Once the store opens, no password is required to get in and make purchases.

Big News!

The Mid-Hudson Bicycle Club turns 60 next year! That’s right, we are celebrating our 60th anniversary!

While we don’t have any founding members still riding with us, we do have several very active members who have been riding with the club for over 45 years.

The Anniversary Committee will present some of our ideas and plans for next year at the Fall Round Up. We are looking for some additional suggestions.

The board is sorry to announce that long time club member Karen Flaherty passed away on Oct 1. Karen fought a long battle with brain tumors over the last three years. Karen served as a board member for many years and also led rides throughout the Poughkeepsie area. She was always willing to help out in any way she could, particularly leading “C” and “D” level rides years ago. We will miss her enthusiasm, upbeat spirit, and friendship. Our deepest sympathies to her Sister and niece whom cared for her in the last weeks of her life.

Any changes to your membership information can be done by signing into your account using the unique user name and password you selected when initially signing up for membership. In the account go to the subscriptions tab to make any changes. For credit card updates in the subscription tab select payment method. Do not go to the payment tab to do this.
