Rail Trail Ride Category added to MHBC Ride Calendar

More Rail Trail Rides Are On The Way!

Listening to our members, as well as the Hudson Valley community, MHBC has decided to add more rail trail rides to our 2026 calendar! This will open more rides to folks that would prefer staying off public roads as well as utilizing the many beautiful trails we have in the Hudson Valley.

Please Assist Our Club!

  • Post a few rides to help build the calendar, if you are a current ride leader and enjoy the rail rides.

  • Use the new bright green listing color when posting, everything else stays the same

  • Make sure you state in the description what type of surface as many of the trails in Ulster County are not paved and it is important the riders are prepared

  • Have fun and include a lunch as part of your ride if you would like. These rides tend to be more relaxed and social. Also, it may be best to put the rides on for weekday times when the trails are not as busy.

  • Consider becoming a ride leader. Here’s the steps: https://midhudsonbicycleclub.com/steps

Ride for Mental Health

Saturday, June 27 Sunday, June 28

The Ride for Mental Health is next weekend on Saturday, June 27 &  Sunday, June 28. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event and there are lots of reasons to sign up now.

One lucky rider will win a 2-night stay for two at the Mohonk Mountain House. That’s worth over $2,000.

  1. We also have a KoM and QoM for the fastest man and woman over the Gunks on the north 50 mile ride. They will each win a $250 gift certificate from one of our local bike shop sponsors.

  2. Nelson Vails and Wayne Stetina are joining the ride again. It’s your chance to ride with an Olympian cyclist.

Just use the code BC2026 for $40 off when you register.  Also use the referral code to get  a refund of $75 after you register if you get 2 other riders to sign up. They can also use the BC2026 code to save $40 when signing up.

Help make this 10th anniversary ride the best ever.  Spread the word about all these great features of this year’s Ride. See you on the road!.
