Elections to be held at the Fall Roundup on October 3rd

The Mid-Hudson Bicycle Club will hold our annual board elections at the Fall Roundup on October 3rd. Any club member in good standing interested in supporting the club by joining the board as an officer or member-at-large should submit their nomination by September 1st to our club vice president, Karen Weis, at mhbc.vp@gmail.com. 

The board term is from November 1st, 2026 through October 31st, 2027. Board members should be able to attend most board meetings.  These are held via Zoom on the third Wednesday of each month @ 7 pm. We are an active, working board.  Each board member takes on a few specific tasks that they are responsible for as well as assisting in and attending our club events.

Runoff elections will be held for contested positions at the Fall Roundup.

Join fellow MHBC members on a 3 night/4 day trip , where we will have an opportunity to enjoy 4 days of riding through the battlefield and around the quiet country roads surrounding Gettysburg Pennsylvania.

Gettysburg, PA is famous for the pivotal Battle of Gettysburg (July 1-3, 1863), the bloodiest battle of the American Civil War, and President Abraham Lincoln's iconic Gettysburg Address, delivered there later that year, making it a major historical destination focused on preserving Civil War history through its National Military Park, monuments, museums, and tours, alongside charming historic town life. 

Trip Details

Please note: All trip expenses are the participant’s responsibility and you will be covered under the MHBC group insurance policy during the group rides.

HOTEL RESERVATION DETAILS:

The MHBC is using the Quality Inn Gettysburg Battlefield hotel located at 380 Steinwehr Ave, Gettysburg, PA 17325 as our base The hotel is close to major sites such as:

• Gettysburg National Military Park 0.1 mile

• Gettysburg Museum & Visitor Center 0.6 mile

• The New York State Monument 0.3 mile

The Appalachian Brewing Company of Gettysburg is right across the street from the hotel and there are other food establishments within walking distance.

The hotel allows bicycles to be stored in your room. Breakfast is also provided with your reservation.

As always, you are free to stay at any other hotel if you wish. All rides will be starting from the parking lot of the Quality Inn Gettysburg Battlefield with the exception of the Battlefield Tour which will start and end at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center.

NOTE:  Non-riding spouses/significant others are welcomed as there are plenty of things to do and see in the area when the club is out on their bicycle rides!
